U.S. Officials to Aid Haiti Assassination Investigation

No U.S. military personnel will be sent.

Currently, 28 people are suspected in the murder plot that resulted in the death of Haitian President Jovenel Moise. As questions have continued to be raised, the United States has committed to sending investigators to the Caribbean island to aid local efforts. The U.S. has made it clear that it will not send military forces to the island to provide security.

A senior official from President Biden’s administration said, “In response to the Haitian government’s request for security and investigative assistance, we will be sending senior FBI and [Department of Homeland Security] officials to Port-au-Prince as soon as possible to assess the situation and how we may be able to assist.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the State Department as they provide diplomatic support to Haiti.
  • For the president’s administration to have wisdom on how to promote stability in Haiti.
  • That the FBI and DHS would be used by God to uncover the events that resulted in President Moise’s death.
