President Biden Calls for Unity at July 4 Speech

Highlights progress in national vaccination effort.

Delivering his Independence Day remarks from the White House Lawn on Sunday, President Biden called on Americans to work toward the goal of greater national unity. He was joined by members of the military and local essential workers for a BBQ at the White House. During his remarks, he also highlighted the progress the nation had made toward vaccinations for COVID-19.

The president said, “Today, all across this nation, we can say with confidence: America is coming back together. Two hundred and forty-five years ago we declared independence from a distant king. Today, we’re closer than ever to declaring our independence from a deadly virus. That’s not to say the battle against COVID-19 is over. We’ve got a lot more work to do.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his advisors to seek God’s wisdom as they pursue solutions to national issues.
  • For the White House Coronavirus Response Team as they continue to assess and offer recommendations to the president.
  • That the pandemic would continue to decrease in cases and strength.
