President Joe Biden will be responding this morning to the job report numbers released by the Department of Labor. Unemployment claims have fallen to their lowest point since the pandemic began.

The number of unemployment seekers has continued to decline as industries nationwide reopen and businesses seek to hire more workers. The travel industry is also revving up, with United Airlines announcing the purchase of 270 new aircraft and roughly 25,000 jobs, with the addition of 3,000 positions in both Chicago and Denver.

This afternoon the president will participate in a naturalization ceremony held at the White House with Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas and U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services Acting Director Tracy Renaud.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his advisors as they evaluate the government’s role in supporting the economy.
  • For officials in the Department of Labor to promote the best policies to help businesses recover from the pandemic.
  • For the DHS secretary and USCIS acting director as they seek to manage immigration.
