Vice President to Visit Border Friday

She and Secretary Mayorkas will travel to El Paso.

Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to visit the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday, according to the White House. She will be accompanied by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Many have voiced concerns over the vice president not coming to the region sooner to assess first-hand the migrant situation. Her trip will occur days before former President Donald Trump and some members of Congress are set to visit the area along with Governor Greg Abbott of Texas.

Symone Sanders, spokesperson for the vice president, did not provide details regarding the vice president’s agenda for the visit, but stated the goal is to “address the root causes of immigration from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Vice President Harris and Secretary Mayorkas to get an accurate look at what is happening at the border.
  • For wisdom for the vice president as she evaluates the root causes of immigration from Central America.
  • For God’s purpose to be accomplished in immigration reforms.
