President Appoints New Roles to Interior

Nominations sent to senate for confirmation.

The White House announced last week two new leadership roles in the Interior Department. Laura Daniel-Davis was appointed to be the Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management, and Maria Camille Calimlim Touton was appointed to be the Commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation. Both women require Senate approval before entering their respective offices.

Secretary Haaland Praised the appointments saying, “Laura and Camille are proven leaders whose deep experience and collaborative approaches will help strengthen the Department’s efforts to combat climate change and pursuit of an equitable clean energy future.” She also expressed that the roles would help tackle land preservation for future generations.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to give Secretary Haaland discernment on how best to lead the Interior Department.
  • For the Lord to guide President Biden on future nominations.
  • For the Senate to have wisdom on which of the president’s nominations to approve.
