President Speaks on 100 year Anniversary of Tulsa Massacre

“Only with truth can come healing,” he says.

On Tuesday, President Biden marked the 100th anniversary of a dark moment of American history: the Tulsa Race Massacre. The events of the racially motivated violence were long covered up by local leaders and recently gained exposure as the United States has reckoned with the issue of racial relations in the nation’s past.

The tragic event that took place in Oklahoma in 1921 resulted in the deaths of an undetermined amount of people and devastated an entire black community. President Biden stated that it is important that Americans learn the realities of that terrible event because “Only with truth can come healing.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to heal the U.S. of the racial wounds.
  • For the president and his administration to seek God’s direction on promoting healing and unity.
