Immigration Court Fast-Tracking Announced

White House intends to solve years-long case backlog in the immigration system.

On Friday, President Biden’s administration announced the newest version of immigration court fast-tracking through a docket published by the Executive Office for Immigration Review. They hope to process individual cases within 300 days total, and are easing COVID related restrictions to help bring courts closer to a state of normalcy.

The two previous administrations had implemented similar policies with lackluster results, which immigration judges were quick to point out. “We are very skeptical about yet another attempt to create a ‘rocket docket’ and continue to believe rushed justice is no justice at all,” said Aaron Reichlin-Melnick from the American Immigration Council.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That the administration would seek God’s guidance in handling immigration reforms.
  • For immigration judges tasked with expedited processing of these cases.
  • For the U.S. immigration authorities handling the overwhelming number of applicants for asylum.
