President Biden Offers Israel His Condolences

Spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu before releasing statement.

On April 29, an enormous outdoor gathering in Mount Meron, Israel ended in a deadly stampede, with a rush of thousands of attendees crushing 45 people to death underfoot and severely injuring more than 150. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it a “terrible disaster” immediately launching an investigation into the matter.

President Biden called the prime minister and offered assistance through the U.S. Embassy located in Israel. “The people of the United States and Israel are bound together by our families, our faiths, and our histories,” said the president in a statement. “Our prayers are with those who were injured and all those who lost loved ones. May their memories be a blessing.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That the Lord’s healing hand would be upon the nation of Israel.
  • For Prime Minister Netanyahu as he leads his nation through this crisis.
  • For President Biden and his administration as support is offered to allies of the United States.
