More Aid Still Needed, Say White House Economists

Economy is in crisis, she says.

Heather Bousley, a member of the White House Council of Economic Advisers said the U.S. economy needs more aid to ensure a strong, speedy recovery. “We remain in a jobs hole that is deeper than that of the Great Recession,” she said. “This remains a crisis.”

Brian Deese, director of the White House National Economic Council, said the president’s administration is taking the current economic crisis “very seriously.” He stated the president’s American Rescue Plan aims to address job losses, saying, “We still have a long way to go.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to lead the nation out of the pandemic-induced recession.
  • For wisdom for White House economists and the president in addressing the economy.
  • For American employment to continue to rise.
