President Discusses States Ending Mask Mandates

Calls the lifting of restrictions in Texas and Mississippi a mistake.

President Biden held a press conference on Wednesday in which he criticized the announcements from the governors of Texas and Mississippi ending statewide mask mandates. He noted that the pandemic had not come to a close just because the vaccine roll-out process was going strong, and every adult was expected to be able to be vaccinated by the end of May.

The president said, “I think it’s a big mistake. I hope everybody’s realized by now these masks make a difference.” He also stressed that states need to hold on for a bit longer saying, “We are on the cusp of being able to fundamentally change the nature of this disease because of the way we’re able to get vaccines in people’s arms.“ The president called on the public to continue to wear masks, wash their hands, and maintain social distancing.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would accomplish His will as the president’s administration continues to give COVID guidance.
  • That the Lord works through the Department of Health and Human Services to provide the most effective treatments and preventions for the pandemic.
