FBI Director Testifies Before Senate Committee

Wray warns of homegrown terrorists in the future.

On Tuesday, FBI Director Chirs Wray sat before the Senate Judiciary Committee to give testimony about the events that took place on January 6 at the Capitol. According to FBI intelligence, most of the people who were arrested for the violence in Washington, D.C. had ties to extremist groups.

Director Wray warned of the ongoing threat of homegrown terror in America saying, “January 6 was not an isolated event. The problem of domestic terrorism has been metastasizing across the country for a long time now and it’s not going away anytime soon.” President Biden has tapped his director of national intelligence to work with the FBI and DHS to adjust how the nation addresses these kinds of threats in the future.

Senator Grassley of Iowa said that events of January 6 should not divert attention from the violence of leftwing extremists. “Yes, white supremacy movements may be considered the most dangerous at a given time, but somehow it wasn’t last summer,” he said. “It can’t be that the FBI… can’t afford to fight both right-wing and left-wing extremism.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That the Senate Judiciary Committee would get to the bottom of what took place on January 6.
  • That the FBI would be used by God to uphold justice in the United States.
  • For the Lord to use Director Wray to keep the nation safe from domestic terrorists.
