Airline CEOs Resist Proposed Domestic Testing

Company leaders meet virtually with White House.

The president’s administration began to consider the idea of requiring COVID-19 tests not only for passengers on international flights but for domestic flights as well. The CEOs of American, United, Southwest, Alaska, and JetBlue responded to the proposal by scheduling an online meeting with the cabinet that took place on Friday to give the administration their input.

“We had a very positive, constructive conversation focused on our shared commitment to science-based policies as we work together to end the pandemic, restore air travel and lead our nation toward recovery,” Nick Calio, head of the trade group Airlines for America, said in a statement.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to guide the president’s administration as they strategize ways to keep the country safe.
  • For American businesses to survive that have been impacted by the pandemic.
  • That God would move to heal the world quickly.
