NIH Director Cautions Against Super Bowl Gatherings

Fauci recommends “laying low.”

On Wednesday, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases cautioned Americans to avoid large gatherings this coming weekend for the Super Bowl. Although the U.S. has begun a massive vaccination drive, Dr. Fauci said there is still a danger of super spreader events taking place by large groups of people not following the proper social distancing and hygienic measures.

The NFL will only allow 22,000 fans to view the game in-person on Sunday, with strict precautions. During an interview, Dr. Fauci said, “You don’t want parties with people that you haven’t had much contact with. You just don’t know if they’re infected, so, as difficult as that is, at least this time around, just lay low.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to stop the spread of COVID-19.
  • For the Lord to guide the CDC and NIH to bring an end to the pandemic quickly.
  • That the Department of Health and Human Services would effectively provide better health outcomes to Americans.
