Senator Hawley’s Family Threatened, Home Vandalized

Group calls it a “candlelight vigil.”

Missouri Senator Josh Hawley reported that a group of Antifa appeared at his home in Washington, D.C. and “screamed threats, vandalized, and tried to pound open our door,” while his wife and newborn daughter were at home and he was away.

“Tonight while I was in Missouri, Antifa… came to our place in DC and threatened my wife and newborn daughter, who can’t travel. They screamed threats, vandalized and tried to pound open our door. Let me be clear: My family and I will not be intimidated by leftwing violence,” he stated Monday night.

ShutDown DC is the group that has been identified as involved. The group responded, “It was a candlelight vigil.” They said they had lit candles and delivered a copy of the Constitution to his front door.

Hawley responded, “Now ‘vigil’ means screaming threats through bullhorns, vandalizing property, pounding on the doors  of homes and terrorizing innocent people and children.”

Senator Hawley was the first senator to announce he will object to certification of the Electoral College vote.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the safety of Senator Hawley and others in Congress and their families.
  • That the outcome of events on Wednesday in Congress accomplishes God’s will and purpose.
  • For federal, state, and local law enforcement as they seek to protect the public from violence.
