President Calls for Increase in Stimulus Payments

Video released to advocate for Congress to pass $2,000 stimulus checks for individual Americans.

President Donald Trump posted a recording of a formal speech to social media on Tuesday night, calling the upcoming pandemic relief bill a “disgrace.” He said that, in reading the bill, there was very little in it having to do with pandemic relief for the American people, and listed off what items the bill does provide money for, including various foreign powers and oceanic initiatives.

President Trump did not say he would outright veto the bill but did strongly state that individual checks for $600 were far too little for the American people. “I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000, or $4,000 for a couple,” he said.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump as he asserts his leadership to care for the American people.
  • That Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell would carefully consider this new factor.
  • That Congress would feel the weight of their current deliberations in the final stages of this process.
