Congress Returns to Washington

Plans to conclude 2020 term with relief bills and the national budget.

Lawmakers returned to Washington, D.C., this week following the Thanksgiving holiday break. Members have stated that before the upcoming presidential inauguration they would like to be able to pass another round of COVID-19 relief. President Trump has also stated that he would approve of such a measure being passed.

On the list of needed legislation is the upcoming federal budget. The annual defense authorization bill will have to be approved by the governing body as it has for the last 60 years. It is also expected that the rounds of funding will include a national vaccine distribution program to assure that all Americans have access to the immunity-granting vaccine as quickly as possible.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the House and Senate to work together to pass the best laws for the nation.
  • That God would give the president wisdom on how to conclude this term in office.
  • That God would help Congress and the White House bring aid to all Americans.
