Restrictions Made in Covid-19 Vaccine Trial Recipients

Severely ill patients no longer being administered vaccine.

Last week, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, one of the major researchers of a breakthrough COVID-19 vaccine, announced that its trials had been put on hold due to safety concerns. An independent medical advisory determined that the risks outweigh the potential gains for the most severely ill patients who were enrolled in the trials.

The monitors, however, did allow the antibody testing to continue for patients who were not at a critical medical juncture. Those who do not need supplemental oxygen are allowed to continue with the trial. The continued study of these trials will allow doctors to better understand the ideal timing for administering the vaccine.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to lead researchers to find the best treatments and preventatives for COVID-19.
  • That God would help the president’s administration bring an end to the pandemic.
  • For Operation Warp Speed to protect people’s lives.
