Revelation

I will make my words known to you. – Proverbs 1:23

How well do you read? Think about it for a moment. How many times have you read through the words on a page, only later to have an “aha” moment, saying to yourself, “Ok -NOW I get it!”

On the day Peter realized Jesus was more than a wise teacher, it was said to him: “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 16:17). Only through divine revelation from God was Peter able to recognize Jesus of Nazareth as the Christ, God’s Messiah.

America is turning a corner. And like Peter, you may not yet fully grasp what God is doing. Paul has already prayed for you about that: “May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you” (Ephesians 1:17-18).

Irrespective of election results, you are called to a life of hope, blessing, and purpose! That life is discovered by immersing your heart and mind in Scripture. Not merely reading the words but passionately pursuing what the words mean, understanding the attributes of God’s character. Pray America will be blessed in this new season with leaders willing to join you in the pursuit of heavenly revelation, using knowledge of God, and His Son Jesus Christ, to guide the nation.

Today’s Verse: Proverbs 1:23

If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
    I will make my words known to you.

12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
