Supreme Court to Review Immigration Policies

Will take up questions of border wall, and detention centers.

The Supreme Court announced on Monday that it would be hearing two separate challenges to President Trump’s immigration policies. The two issues that will be presented will be the means of funding a border wall across the southern border of the United States, and the policy of requiring those seeking asylum to remain in Mexico as they wait for their day in court.

These cases are anticipated to be heard after the completion of the confirmation hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett. The court ruled back in March that it would allow President Trump’s administration to continue pursuing its immigration policies while court proceedings took place, these cases have been appealed to the Supreme Court by the president’s administration due to being blocked in lower courts.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would give the Justices of the Court wisdom of the best course of action to take on these cases.
  • That the Lord would lead the president’s administration in the best path to immigration policy.
  • That the Senate would have wisdom on how to vote on Judge Barrett’s confirmation.
