House of Representatives Unveils New Stimulus Package

A renewed attempt to move negotiations forward.

The House of Representatives announced a new batch of stimulus measures aimed at addressing the economic fallout caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill contains $2.2 trillion worth of aid directed at Americans including enhanced unemployment benefits, another round of $1,200 stimulus checks for eligible Americans, and funding for childcare and schools.

House Speaker Pelosi laid out the reasoning for the new batch of measures saying that they “are making good on our promise to compromise with this updated bill, which is necessary to address the immediate health and economic crisis facing America’s working families right now.” The House of Representatives passed an economic relief bill two months ago that was not taken up by the Senate.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to lead the House of Representatives in the best way to create laws for the U.S.
  • For the Senate to pass laws that will bring relief to Americans affected by the pandemic
  • For the Trump Administration to work with Congress to bring an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.
