Senator Rand Paul Accosted by Demonstrators

He has called for an FBI investigation.

As he departed from the White House after listening to President Donald Trump accept his party’s nomination for re-election, Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky was accosted by a crowd of demonstrators that “swarmed” him.

He told reporters, “I believe there are going to be people who were involved with the attack on us that actually were paid to come here and are not from Washington, D.C., and are sort of paid to be anarchists. The FBI needs to investigate but the only way you can do it is you have to arrest people.”

Videos of the event show a crowd surrounding and harrassing Senator Paul and his wife and the police who were trying to protect them. At one point, a demonstrator appears to have shoved a police officer who stumbled into the senator. The videos do not show the senator physically attacked.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For protection for America’s leaders, regardless of political party or affiliation.
  • For an end to the violent, anarchist-led demonstrations across the country.
  • That law enforcement will be able to arrest, and that officials would detain, the offenders who are responsible for mayhem in America’s cities.
