President Donald Trump will travel to Mills River, North Carolina today to visit the Families Food Box program site. The president will tour Flavor First Growers and Packers to see the packaging and production of the boxes the organization, in partnership with Baptists on Mission, delivers to families in need.

“I am incredibly excited to join the President in North Carolina as he sees first-hand the incredible work being done through our Farmers to Families Food Box program,” said Senior Advisor Ivanka Trump. “We are deeply appreciative of our strong and innovative partners like Baptists on Mission and Flavor First Growers and Packers that allow us to continue the fight to feed our nation’s hungry, support our farmers and strengthen our workforce.”

Almost 70 million food boxes have been delivered to those in need through the Farmers to Families Food Box program. The U.S. Department of Agriculture purchases food from farmers that would otherwise go unconsumed, distributing it to those who need it most.

President Trump is also expected to make an appearance at the site of the Republican National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, as the four day event begins.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president as he travels to North Carolina.
