Postmaster Appears Before Senate

Will not return equipment before election.

On Friday, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy appeared before the Senate to answer questions about the Post Office’s ability to handle the delivery of upcoming ballots for the November election. He also stated that the Post office would prioritize the delivery of electoral mail as it had in years in the past.

Postmaster DeJoy said that the post office “is fully capable and committed to delivering the nation’s election mail securely and on-time.” He said that was a “sacred duty” and his “No. 1 priority between now and Election Day.” However later during his hearing, he stated that he would not be returning any of the sorting machines or mailboxes that had been removed prior to the election.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would help the nation assure that mail-in ballots would be delivered safely.
  • For God to lead Postmaster DeJoy to be a strong leader of the department.
  • For the president’s administration to ensure citizens the opportunity to vote.
