Iran Took Over Tanker, Defense Department says

Tensions between U.S. and Iran continue to simmer.

The Defense Department publicly announced on Thursday that it believed that the Iranian military had boarded and briefly seized a Liberian oil tanker. In a video published by Central Command, special forces troops disembarked from a helicopter onto the vessel off the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates.

Iran confirmed that it had taken control of the ship later on Thursday and described the take over as a routine inspection. This is not the first time for such an “inspection.” In July, an American-bound tanker was borded off the coast of the UAE and was later spotted in Iranian waters, suggesting that Iran had taken the vessel over.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to lead the Defence Department on the best course of action to take.
  • For the Trump Administration to be led by God to bring peace in the Middle East.
  • That God would lead the nation toward better diplomatic relations with other countries.
