President Authorizes Emergency Aid to Connecticut

Tropical Storm Isaias made landfall earlier this week.

The 2020 hurricane season is in full swing, and hurricane recovery follows. The state of Connecticut declared a state of emergency on this past Tuesday, which President Trump officially approved on Friday, according to the Stafford Act.

Trump’s approval has authorized federal aid to be given to the state through whatever means it deems the most helpful. The Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will both be on the scene to provide aid, in terms of labor, organization, and funding.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the safety of the DHS as they provide care for storm-weathered families.
  • For FEMA as they arrive on the scene, that they would be granted insight as they assess the situation.
  • For President Trump as he continues to use the power of leadership given to him by God to lead the American people.
