Key components of COVID-19 vaccine candidate developed by Novavax are manufactured at the biotech innovation facilities. The vaccine candidate NVX-CoV2373, is currently in a Phase 1 clinical trial. Phase 2 is anticipated in mid-August, with Phase 3 later this fall.
The president will discuss the progress being made as his administration collaborates with the private sector to expedite the development of a vaccine, and the preparation to accelerate manufacturing and distribution when one is ready.
