Monday, July 20

President Donald Trump is staying in Washington, D.C., today and will be taking part in a roundtable meeting with a select group of voters as part of campaign events in the city. The limited in-person attendance is part of the effort to limit the potential spread of COVID-19 and to practice social distancing while on the campaign trail. In order to allow the general public to attend, the president will be hosting online events open to the public in the evening.

Upcoming this week, the president is also planning to meet with leaders from Congress regarding the details of the next federal aid package to promote more testing and equipment to address the pandemic. Along with the president, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow, and other cabinet members are expected to take part in the meetings.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For guidance for the president as he meets with voters today.
  • For wisdom for the president and cabinet members as they work with Congress to meet the needs of the American people during this time.
  • For God’s will to be accomplished through any decisions that they reach.
