First Lady Delivers Boxed Lunches to Shelter

Women’s and children’s shelter receives unexpected visit.

First Lady Melania Trump brought a donation of boxed lunches to the staff and residents of The Mary Elizabeth House in an unanticipated visit last week. The shelter ministers to single mothers and their children, and to young women in, or who have aged out of, foster care. The ministry offers counseling, education and training resources, as well as providing life skills.

Mrs. Trump also spent some time with children on the playground in the community and handed out Be Best items along with the lunches, packed by White House chefs, to show her appreciation to the “dedicated staff, and the families whom they serve.” The week before her visit, First Lady Melania Trump had sent a donation of vegetables and produce from the White House Kitchen Garden to the staff and residents of the Mary Elizabeth House.

The first lady stated, “Ministries like The Mary Elizabeth House are providing the support and valuable life skills that help to serve and lift up families and their communities to keep our children safe.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the first lady’s Be Best campaign to uplift and benefit children across the nation.
  • For Mrs. Trump as she supports the president and raises their son.
  • For the president and first lady as they do what they can to improve the nation.
