Saturday, July 4

After taking part in Independence Day events at Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are back at the White House today. They are expected to remain in residence until this evening, when they will participate in the White House 2020 Salute to America 4th of July Celebrations.

The president will deliver remarks and, along with the first family, he will be joined by “members of our military, first responders, doctors, nurses, and other American heroes who fought the Coronavirus pandemic on the front lines,” according to White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. She added, “Festivities will honor our service members and veterans with music, military demonstrations, and flyovers—as well as a spectacular fireworks display!”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • In thanksgiving for the freedoms we celebrate today, and for the sacrifice of the countless many who have fought to protect those freedoms.
  • For God to be at work through the president’s words as he speaks today.
  • For safety and for God to protect the health of all who attend celebrations around the nation.
