President and Governors Meet for Small Business Roundtable

Small business owners also selected to speak during meeting.

Although the number of Americans seeking unemployment as been steadily dropping since March, the current number of 1.5 million is still double the record high that existed before the pandemic. With that in mind, President Trump, the governors and other leaders from the states of Nebraska and Oklahoma, and Secretary of the Treasury Mnuchin, Director Kudlow of the National Economic Council, and Small Business Administrator Jovita gathered at the White House to discuss the issues currently facing small businesses.

During the meeting, Director Kudlow gave a summary of the current quarter with optimism for the rest of 2020. State leaders shared some of the strategies that have benefited their economies and small business owners were called to discuss their experiences during the pandemic, outlining their losses, what cleanliness steps they were taking in reopening, and what steps they thought should be taken federally to boost revenue. The discussion was broadcast via livestream through a number of news outlets.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would preserve the small business owners of the United States.
  • For President Trump as he weighs how best to implement the input of these advisors.
  • That Secretary of the Treasury Mnuchin would consider how best to support American small businesses.
