President Signs Police Reform Executive Order

Calls for “Law and Order” across the nation.

On Tuesday, President Trump signed an executive order designed to address issues raised in the wake of the killing of George Floyd by a member of the Minneapolis Police Department. The order calls for police departments to increase training, change how federal funding is distributed based on department use of force, and also will create a database to track police misconduct.

During a speech from the Rose Garden, the president stated that Americans want “Law and Order,” and criticized calls for defunding the police. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the order falls “short of what is required to combat the epidemic of racial injustice and police brutality.” Currently, no police reform bills have passed in Congress.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to use President Trump as a means to improve public safety for all Americans.
  • For Congress to work with the White House to pass meaningful police reform.
  • That God would use the federal government to protect all Americans equally.
