Sunday, June 7

Today, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are remaining in the White House in Washington, D.C. While they have no public events on their schedule, the president is expected to continue meeting with government officials regarding the many various issues that the nation is facing. These include the COVID-19 outbreak, the ongoing economic recovery efforts, the upcoming hurricane season, and the national unrest centering on the recent demonstrations following the death of George Floyd.

At the end of last week, the first lady met with officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency regarding the upcoming hurricane season. The American Red Cross took part in the briefing and updated the first lady on updates to the “Pillowcase Project”, which has already reached over 1.5 million children around the nation with disaster preparedness resources and tools.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for the president as he prepares for the upcoming week and faces the many issues that the nation is facing.
  • For FEMA leadership as they prepare for the upcoming hurricane season.
  • For rest for the president and first lady today as they spend time together in the White House.
