International Health Ministers Call for Virus Investigation

Over 100 countries call for UN to investigate WHO.

More than 100 health ministers from around the world have called for an independent evaluation of the World Health Organization’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic at the United Nations General Assembly Monday.

President Trump has led the charge in holding Beijing responsible, but he is not the only one to allege the Chinese officials covered up the virus during its early stages and thus exacerbated its spread into a pandemic.

The WHO has also faced criticism, with some observers alleging the agency was at minimum far too credulous in believing Beijing’s reassurances, which it then preached to the wider world.

Australia has headed the call for a probe at the United Nations. Russia signed onto the demand, fueling the backlash against China that has developed as the disease spread.

China continues to deny any responsibility, issuing retaliatory statements toward any nation critical of their handling of the pandemic.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the United Nations General Assembly members who will consider proceeding with an investigation into the World Health Organization and the origins of the COVID-19 virus.
  • About relationships between the United States and China both over the virus and over enforcing the trade agreement in place and new agreements in negotiation.
  • For researchers worldwide who are seeking a vaccine against the coronavirus strain.
