Today, President Donald Trump will meet with Colorado Governor Jared Polis and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum. The three are expected to focus on how the federal government can partner with local government in the process of combatting the Coronavirus outbreak and the steps to reopen the economy.

Ahead of the visit, Governor Burgum shared that North Dakota ranks as one of of the lowest for positive cases and one of the highest for per capita testing, contact tracing and reopening our economy. He added, “I look forward to highlighting these successes and the efforts and the great work of North Dakotans to be among the nation’s leaders in terms of testing, contact tracing and reopening our economy.”

Shelby Wieman, Deputy Press Secretary to Colorado Governor Polis, said in the official statement, “The governor’s first priority is the health and safety of Coloradans, and the federal government is an important partner in Colorado’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Polis looks forward to a productive conversation.”
