Justice Department Drops Michael Flynn Case

President Trump praises Attorney General Barr for decision.

On Thursday, the Justice Department announced that it would no longer be pursuing the criminal case against President Trump’s former national security advisor, Michael Flynn. This case had initially been brought by special counsel Robert Mueller as a part of his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 national election. Mr. Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI during the investigation.

According to the Justice Department’s statement about the case, Michael Flynn should never have been interviewed by the FBI, since the investigation was without any reasonable basis. President Trump praised the decision made by Attorney General William Barr saying, “Bill Barr is a man of unbelievable credibility and courage and he’s going to go down on the history books.” He also described the initial charges against Mr. Flynn as “treason.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would lead President Trump in the best way to conduct investigations in the future.
  • For God to give Attorney General Barr wisdom on how best to carry out the laws of the United States.
  • For the Justice Department to be led by the Lord in the best legal action to take in the future.
