President Disapproves of Georgia Reopen Policy

He “strongly disagrees” with the plan.

On Wednesday, President Trump was critical of Governor Kemp’s plan to begin reopening salons, fitness studios, and other non-essential businesses in the state of Georgia. President Trump said that he “disagreed strongly” with the action because “it’s just too soon.” He went on to clarify that he is in favor of the reopening, but not at such quick speed.

Currently, Georgia is in the bottom 10 per-capita for testing for COVID-19. President Trump expressed his support of Governor Kemp saying, “I want him to do what he thinks is right. But … I think [opening] spas and beauty salons and tattoo parlors and barbershops in Phase One … it’s just too soon.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to lead President Trump to the best course of action.
  • For local, state, and federal governments to partner together to bring a swift end to this pandemic.
  • For safety for all our elected officials from the spread of the disease.
