Interior Department Announces Funding for Oregon Counties

$28 million for infrastructure, health, and education committed.

The Department of the Interior announced on Thursday of last week that $28 million would be distributed to 18 counties in Oregon as part of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Act. The funds will be used for investments in education, infrastructure, public safety, and health services.

According to Secretary Bernhardt, “The Trump Administration is committed to increasing timber production to support economic growth and forest health. This program is one way we are being a good neighbor and supporting Western communities.” The Bureau of Land Management will be managing the program through next year.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Bernhardt to be used by God to manage the Interior Department effectively.
  • That the BLM would quickly and efficiently distribute funding to the counties in Oregon.
  • For the Trump Administration to prioritize funding for the betterment of all Americans.
