Rockets Hit U.S. Airbase in Afghanistan

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.

Rockets were fired early Thursday at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. The Islamic State said it was behind the five rockets, according to NATO-LED Operation Resolute Support, who said it would be “investigating the incident.”

The attack came as the fractured Afghan government attempts to negotiate peace with the Taliban and after a peace deal was signed February 29. The Taliban said it had no hand in the attack.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For American and NATO military personnel remaining in Afghanistan to be protected from attacks.
  • For the absolute and final defeat of ISIS.
