Offers to Help America Coming In

Taiwan and Carnival Cruise Lines are stepping up.

Doctors and nurses in America could soon receive a welcome influx of hospital masks from Taiwan.

An official with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office said, “We have enough capacity to cooperate with the U.S.” and that they are ramping up production to supply 100,000 masks per week to the United States.

America’s shortage of masks presents a diplomatic opportunity for Taiwan, which is the last holdout of the mainland Chinese government overthrown in the Chinese Communist revolution of 1949. The Taiwanese have long been supported by the U.S.

Domestically, Carnival Cruise Lines is offering beds to land-based hospitals for non-coronavirus patients. The company, like the rest of the cruise industry, has experienced a major shutdown due to the pandemic.

Their offer came after President Trump had a conversation with Carnival Chairman Micky Arison. The president said, “He’s going to make ships available if we should need ships with lots of rooms.” He said they would be docked in major coastal cities that have seen some of the biggest outbreaks like New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump, the coronavirus task force, the CDC and other responsible agencies, as they consider the offers coming from foreign and domestic sources to aid the U.S. in this time of pandemic.
  • In praise to the Lord for the cooperation and unity taking place around the nation and across the globe.
