President Signs Emergency Funding for Coronavirus

$8.3 billion was more than he requested

On Friday morning, President Trump signed legislation that members of Congress passed on an emergency basis this week. The legislation makes $8.3 billion available to combat the coronavirus outbreak.

“We’ve signed the 8.3 billion. I asked for 2-1/2, and I got   8.3.  And I’ll take it,” he told reporters.

Globally, more than 100,000 cases of the coronavirus have been reported with more than 225 cases confirmed in the United States. At least 14 people in the U.S. have died.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wise use of the emergency funding by the agencies that will receive it.
  • For officials who are increasing the production of testing kits and medical supplies.
  • That the spread of the coronavirus might be contained.
