Tuesday, March 3

President Donald Trump will be speaking before the National Association of Counties Legislative Conference today. The association serves close to 40,000 elected officials and 3.6 million county employees who endeavor to strengthen counties in the United States through policy making and leadership.

President Trump has been inclusive of county commissioners since the beginning of his administration, inviting them to formally participate in the process of rulemaking for the rewriting of regulations. The executive order the president signed in 2017 to revamp the Clean Waters Act regarding the federal oversight of waterways is an example of easing the burden on officials at the local level.

In attendance at the conference are nearly 2,000 county officials from across the United States exploring solutions to such challenges as health policies in jails, affordable housing and broadband that they face in their communities. Also addressing the conference are Secretary of HUD Dr. Ben Carson and Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to be an encouragement to the leaders of U.S. counties.
  • For the Lord to give President Trump wisdom in dealing with the current health concerns of the nation.
  • For God’s will to be accomplished through the president’s actions.
