Knowledge of the Holy One is insight. – Proverbs 9:10
In 1953, there were only 100 computers in use around the world. The machines weighed many tons and filled huge rooms. Today, there are more than two billion computers worldwide, including servers, desktops, and laptops. Some are small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. Yet scientists, engineers, and technicians are continually trying to build faster, smarter ways to access knowledge and compute. For example, the El Capitan is now the world’s most powerful supercomputer. Located in Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, this exascale computer performs 1.742 exaFLOPS per second. This means it conducts more than a quintillion operations per second.
The sad reality is that many scientists who work with the most powerful computers reject the all-powerful One who has the greatest insight of all. God is omniscient, which means He has limitless knowledge. He knows absolutely everything that can ever be known. Nothing ever surprises the Lord.
Psalm 147:5 says, “Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; His understanding is beyond measure.” God is the only source of all knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. And knowledge of the Lord provides the foundation of all intellectual pursuit.
Everything you know and understand originated with God. So, worship your Heavenly Father every day for His knowledge of your past, present, and future. Thank the Lord for His forgiveness and for the peace He provides in the present. Praise Him for the hope you have because He knows and has plans for what is ahead of you. As you do, intercede for U.S. public officials to do the same.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.

O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
5 You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.
