House Judiciary Committee Sets Date for Impeachment Hearing
Goal to hold impeachment vote before Christmas
The House Judiciary Committee announced at the end of last week that it has set a date to begin hearings into the determination there will be an impeachment of President Donald Trump. The added that the results will also determine when a vote will go to the full floor of the House of Representatives. It is expected that the Judiciary Committee will soon receive a report from the Intelligence Committee regarding the recent testimony given by White House officials. These testimonies were in regards to the president’s dealings with Ukraine.
The current hearing is scheduled to begin on December 4, one day after lawmakers return from the Thanksgiving recess. House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler said that the hearing will, “explore the framework put in place to respond to serious allegations of impeachable misconduct.” The goal would be to hold an impeachment vote before Christmas of this year.
- For God to give the president wisdom, strength, and encouragement as he leads the nation during this time.
- For the House to be guided by God on the right way to vote on this matter and that all political bias would be put aside.
- For Chairman Nadler to be given wisdom from God on how to lead the upcoming proceedings.
