President Again Donates His Salary
To fight opioid crisis
Staying with the promise that he made when campaigning for office, President Trump is donating his presidential salary once again.
The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health will receive $100,000 from the president’s third-quarter salary earmarked “to continue the ongoing fight against the opioid crisis.”
While in office, President Trump has given his salary to a variety of causes within the federal government, including border security and alcoholism research. The presidential salary is $400,000 per year.
