President Donates Quarterly Salary Again

Given to Surgeon General’s office

The White House announced Friday that President Trump donated his salary from the second quarter of 2019 to the office of the Surgeon General.

The White House said the donation will help address the opioid epidemic and the growing use of e-cigarettes by teenagers and children. The Surgeon General’s office is part of the Department of Health and Human Services.

When he took office, the president pledged that he would not accept the $400,000 annual salary that comes with the job. He has donated his salary in quarterly installments to various government agencies.

As the Lord Leads, pray with us:
  • For the consistency of President Trump in keeping his promise to donate his salary each quarter.
  • For the office of the Surgeon General and the work they are doing on opioids and the teen and child use of e-cigarettes.
