President Approves New Hampshire Disaster Declaration
FEMA funding coming after major storms in the area
On Thursday, President Trump announced that a major disaster exists for the State of New Hampshire. The President ordered the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to aid the State’s relief efforts in the affected regions following major storms in the area from July 11 to 12 . Funding will be set aside to aid in rebuilding efforts, as well as future damage mitigation.
Acting FEMA Administrator Pete Gaynor appointed James McPherson to be the Federal Coordinating Officer to oversee the efforts to rebuild and prepare for future storm events. The federal government will reassess in the future if more funding is needed to go to local nonprofits, and the state government to aid in the rebuilding process.
- For President Trump to have wisdom as he considers the funding needed to repair damage in New Hampshire.
- For Acting Admin Gaynor to be used by God to lead FEMA effectively.
- For James McPherson to be given wisdom on how best to address the relief efforts in the affected areas.
