President Signs Bills Celebrating Moon Landing
Two other laws also help Americans in need
On Friday, President Trump formally signed three bills into law. House Joint Resolution 60 is a request from Congress to the Department of the Interior to “authorize the unique display of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Smithsonian artifacts, digital content, film footage, and associated historic audio and imagery in the vicinity of the National Mall.” July 16 will mark the 50th anniversary of the first Apollo moon landing.
The president also signed House Bill 2940, Sponsored by Rep. Danny K. Davis, extending the appropriations for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program through September 30 of this year. He also signed Senate Bill 2047, sponsored by Senator Schumer, to provide a two-week extension of the Medicaid community mental health services demonstration program.
- For President Trump to have wisdom on the best laws to approve.
- For the House of Representatives to work hard to put forward strong legislation.
- For the Senate to put forth laws that will be good for the nation.
