President Nominates OSHRC Chairman
Names James J. Sullivan, Jr.
President Donald Trump announced his intent to nominate an individual to a position within his administration. James J. Sullivan, Jr. will be designated to serve as Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission (OSHRC). Mr. Sullivan is a lawyer, who specializes in occupational safety and health law. He has been a member of the OSHRC since 2017.
The Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission is a federal agency that functions as a two-tiered administrative court. They provide administrative trial and appellate review and were created to decide contests of citations or penalties resulting from OSHA inspections of workplaces in the U.S. They work to provide fair and timely adjudication of workplace safety and health disputes between employers and the U.S. Department of Labor.
