President Appoints Three New Officials
Defense Department, National Indian Gaming Commission, and Chief Financial Officer
On Tuesday, President Trump announced that he intended to nominate three individuals into his administration.
E. Sequoya Simermeyer was appointed to be the Chairman of the National Indian Gaming Commission for a three-year term. A member of the Coharie Tribe, Mr. Simermeyer currently serves as a Commissioner on the same Commission.
Dana Deasy was appointed by the president to be the Chief Information Officer for the Department of Defense. Mr. Deasy currently serves in this role, and his reappointment will take place following congressional approval. This role reports to the Secretary of Defense on matters of information management.
Lastly, the president appointed Heather Martin to be the Chief Financial Officer within the Office of Administration, Executive Office of the President. This office provides administrative support for the White House and all of the other Departments within the Executive Branch.
