President Announces Judicial Nominees
Three new judicial nominees to be sent to the Senate
President Donald Trump announced his intent to nominate three new candidates to serve as judges in the U.S. Halil "Sul" Ozerden is nominated to serve as a Circuit Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Currently, he serves as a U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Mississippi. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
The president will also nominate John F. Kness to serve as a Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Currently, Mr. Kness is the General Counsel for the College of DuPage, overseeing all legal matters. The president will also nominate Eleni M. Roumel to serve as a Judge on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Currently, she is serving as Deputy Counsel to the U.S. Vice President.
